Impact & accountability

The whole ledger, in public.

If you are considering funding ASPIRE, read this page first. The figures below come from our accounts, and we will send the supporting statements to any funder who asks.

The 2025 annual report is in preparation.

20

Organisations supported

Across three cohorts delivered end to end.

3

Cohorts delivered

Screened, certified and closed out.

80+

Volunteer experts

Barbadian professionals who have worked pro bono.

10:1

Expertise to grant

About ten dollars of donated professional support for every dollar granted.

The gap

Rich in commitment. Thin on capacity.

This is what ASPIRE exists to change, and why capacity funding compounds in a way project funding cannot.

Founder-dependent

Most are run by one or two people holding governance, finance and delivery at once. When they burn out, the service stops.

Unfundable, not unworthy

Without audited accounts, boards and impact data, they cannot access the international grants their work already merits.

Funded project by project

Donor money buys programmes, rarely the institution that delivers them. Nobody pays for the backbone.

Progress

Target: fifty organisations certified

20 supported

30 to go

We publish this whether it flatters us or not. The gap between where we are and where we’re aiming to be is the most useful number on this website.

Thirty organisations to go.
